Easy sewing project- outdoor slipcovers

Without being able to buy a new outdoor set this summer, I was determined to make mine a little more my taste. I knew I wanted to use soft sheets as for the slipcovers so that I could toss them into the washing machine and they would just get softer with wear. I found the perfect sheet set at Marshall's and I have plenty to cover pillows or make a small table runner.
Basically this is an edged rectangle. To jazz it up a bit I had saved ruffles tie backs from my voile curtains. I do not use the tie backs and knew there would be a project someday...this was the project! Can you believe the tie backs were the exact length???

I could not find the perfect color ribbons for the ties, but did find the perfect color in bias tape. Another cost cutting detail.

These are so easy that I could make another set in a different print. I hope you try it!

Jen,

Your slipcovers turned out beautifully. What a great inexpensive way to change the look of your outdoor furniture. I also like all the decorating you've been doing with plates lately.

The chair covers look so pretty and you could even spray paint the chairs, that would look good to. I bought the same sheet set to cover my dining room chair seats! Good taste! LOL

You are absolutely CLEVER!!! I'm gonna have to use this sometime - maybe even for the 4th. Love how you find inexpensive ways to do something and it's just as cute if not cuter because it's totally original.
