Let's Go To CAMP!

I am PATHETIC! You would think I was under 12!
So...E loves The Jonas Brothers (of course)! Counting down to CAMP ROCK in our house was a major event! (mostly because The Disney Channel brainwashes all who sets eyes on it) Then E was invited to watch it with her gal pals. D and I had a "date" and we watched it together (told ya I was pathetic). It was fun to see how the movie inspired D to grab some pens as drum sticks and he did some hip hop moves that would've made the movie more fun! It was so hard not to see it with E, but I guess this is the first effect of her growing up and letting her fly from the nest.
So...what did I think? I won't say too much, except for the fact that Joe Jonas is DEFINATELY a cutie to look at (does that make me a sicko since he is a kid?) & in this day and age where questionable things are ALL OVER everywhere, I am SOOOO glad that my children have cool things to watch that have good role models.( Did you know that the JoBros wear wedding bands on their lieft ring fingers to show their purtiy until marriage?) Secretly, I really wanted Mitchie and Shane to kiss in the movie! I am such a dork!
If you could go to ANY summer camp (real or fake) what would you choose?

We usually have the party here when those movies come out, but this year, we had company. I was so bummed not to be able to watch it with my daughter upstairs. Glad to know there was no kissing though.

My daughter likes the Joe too. So funny. I love that about the wedding bands. Finally some good boy examples.

I have to think about the camp thing. I am spoiled with our cabin.

I used to go the a broadway type camp every summer as a kid. We did singing, dancing and acting and every summer at the end we put on a very mini- musical and one year I was chosen to be Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, a very proud moment for me! I would have to say that I too would go to another camp like that, or the one at the Alvin Ailey Academy or Juliard.

And you are not immature or a crazy person, I love Disney channel musicals and even though they are kids, they are cute!

There was a movie a long time ago called Indian Summer. It's about a camp that is closing and the adults to back to the camp for one last hurrah. It looked like so much fun. I would love to go to camp like that with archery, canoing, arts, cooking, hiking, etc.

I do love going to girls camp, but would like a bed to go along with camp instead of on a wood plank. I think it would be fun to go have a family camp too.

We haven't watched the movie yet, but we will soon.

I saw the movie last night. i am with you!! I wanted them to kiss in the end too, but I was happy that they didn't. Sometimes, our younger kids don't need to see that!!! We should have a little party next time a bigger movie like that comes out!!!

I wish I could be going to Centrifuge, my old church camp, but only as a camper...I've gone plenty as a counselor and it just makes you feel old! :0)
