curB appeal

Despite being under the weather I have still accomplished a few small tasks. The area above our front door has always looked empty to me. I have often daydreamed about a nice scrolling iron with a B there, like this. But on one of my hunts I found a B (for our last name) for just $7. I decided to try it out up there.

I actually like the simple lines, it goes well with our colonial style house. But guess what? Hubby does not like it. So I told him that he could totally go up there, get it, and fill in the holes. I guess it will be there for awhile...

update: I have blown through all of my summer reads. Any suggestions?I like them light and fun!

That is pure awesome. I love it so much. Good choice for sure. It just punched it up, but not to much.

Great Job Jen..

I like the "B"and those peaches make my mouth water!YUM. Thanks for the visit, and your comment about the countertops~I would change them if I could but I wouldn't use granite. I like marble and wood, so that's why there still laminate, LOL. But ya know I don't really pay much attention to them cause at least they are white!

Don't ya hate that, it's the only bad thing about blogging, your words are there and you can't take them back!LOL. I do the same thing. No I wasn't offended, I know what you mean, I would love to change them but I think they are fine for now.

I think it looks great! I wish I had a place to put an S, but I don't know that it would be the same, I think the simple lines are what make it work! And that was great way to compromise with hubby.

I love your B! I'm totally going to steal that idea. I'm so glad that you are starting to feel a bit better. :-( I think you need more chocolate.

I like the B! It's perfect in that space above the door. I love typography and have a hodge-podge collection of letters on one wall in my house.
